When Your Best Performers Become Your Weakest Leaders
Many CEOs hit a frustrating pattern as they scale: they promote their top performers, expecting the same success, only to watch them struggle in leadership roles.

Many CEOs hit a frustrating pattern as they scale: they promote their top performers, expecting the same success, only to watch them struggle in leadership roles.

One of the most common patterns I see in coaching conversations with professionals is this: Highly capable individuals working incredibly hard.....but without a clear plan for where their effort is actually going.

The session started normally enough. We were discussing his leadership presence in meetings. But thirty minutes in, we were deep into his childhood, his relationship with his father, and the anxiety that had been with him since adolescence.

A few years ago, I started working with a senior leader who came to coaching with a clear agenda. He handed me a list, literally, a typed document of the things he wanted to "fix" about himself. His communication style.
This is your turning point. You can wait for another time or you can take action right now and become the coach you’ve always wanted to be.
